Campaigns are the engine of your LinkedIn outreach in Ornn. Once set up, a campaign automatically works through your leads list - sending connection requests, waiting for accepts, and following up with AI-personalized messages - all without you lifting a finger.
Follow the steps below and you'll have your first campaign running in under 10 minutes.
📋 Before you begin
You've added at least one LinkedIn account to your workspace
You've created a leads list with at least one prospect
You're on an active Ornn plan (free trial or paid)
1. Open the Settings Modal
From anywhere inside the Ornn dashboard, click the ⚙ Settings icon in the navigation. This opens the Settings modal where you manage your accounts, lists, and campaigns.
2. Go to the Campaigns Tab
Inside the Settings modal, click the Campaigns tab. You'll see any existing campaigns listed here, along with the option to create a new one.
3. Click "Create Campaign"
Click the + Create Campaign button. The campaign setup form will open, where you'll configure everything from the name to which accounts and leads to use.
4. Fill in the Campaign Details
Complete the three required fields to define your campaign:
Campaign Name - A clear label to identify this campaign later (e.g. "Q1 SaaS Founders – UK" or "Agency Cold Outreach – March")
LinkedIn Account(s) - Select one or more connected LinkedIn accounts to send outreach from. Each account operates within LinkedIn's daily sending limits, so adding multiple accounts lets you reach more leads per day. You must have added a LinkedIn account first - see: Add a LinkedIn Account
Leads List(s) - Choose the list(s) of prospects you want this campaign to target. Ornn will automatically work through the list, sending requests and messages in sequence. Your leads list must be created before this step - see: Build a Leads List
💡Assigning multiple LinkedIn accounts to one campaign lets Ornn distribute the outreach load - ideal for agencies running high-volume campaigns for clients.
5. Open the Sequence Editor
Scroll down to the Sequence Editor section. This is where you design the automated flow of your campaign - what actions happen, and in what order. Click the ⤢ Maximize button to open the editor in full-screen mode. This gives you a proper workspace to view and edit your sequence comfortably.
💡Ornn includes a default sequence out of the box (send connection request, wait 1 day, send message once connected) so you don't need to build from scratch. You can use it as-is or customize it however you like.
6. Write Your Message Template & AI Prompt
Click the Send Message node in the sequence, then click ✨ Prompt & Variables to expand the message editor. Two fields will appear:
Message Template - Write the base message you want to send. Use the available personalization variables to make each message feel individual
AI Prompt - Instruct Ornn's AI on how to personalize your message for each individual lead. The AI analyzes the prospect's company website, recent news, and social signals to craft something that genuinely resonates.
✦ AI Personalization: make every message feel hand-written
Think of the AI prompt as a brief to an assistant writer - you tell it what angle to take, what tone to use, and what to reference. It's completely open-ended, so prompt it however you like. Some examples:
"Mention a specific challenge {{company}} might face in the {{industry}} space and tie it to how we help solve it. Keep the tone conversational, under 3 sentences." or
"Reference a recent company achievement or news item. Make the opener feel personal and avoid sounding salesy."
If Ornn can't scrape data for a particular lead, it automatically falls back to your base message template - so every prospect always gets a message, no matter what.
✏️Keep your message template concise and conversational. The AI prompt handles the depth and personalization - your template sets the overall tone and direction.
7. Click "Create Campaign"
Once you've finished writing your message template and AI prompt, click the ⤡ Minimize button to close the full-screen editor and return to the campaign form. Your sequence is saved automatically. Review your campaign settings one final time, then click the Create Campaign button at the bottom of the form. Ornn will begin preparing your outreach and start working through your leads list immediately.
🚦Your campaign will appear in the Campaigns tab with a live status indicator. You can pause, edit, or stop it at any time from there.

Ornn is now automatically sending connection requests and AI-personalized follow-up messages to your leads. Monitor replies in your LinkedIn inbox and track performance from your Ornn dashboard.
