Adding a LinkedIn account to Ornn is the first step to launching automated outreach campaigns. Each account you connect is paired with a dedicated residential proxy based on your login country β keeping your automation safe and within LinkedIn's limits.
Follow the steps below and you'll be set up in under 5 minutes.
β
π Before you begin
You have an active Ornn account (free trial or paid plan)
You have access to a LinkedIn account you want to connect
You're using Google Chrome (required for the Ornn extension)
You know the country you use to log in to LinkedIn
β
2. Open the Settings Modal
From anywhere inside the Ornn dashboard, click the β Settings icon in the navigation. This opens the Settings modal where you manage all connected LinkedIn accounts for your workspace.
π‘Settings are workspace-level. If you manage multiple clients, each can have their own accounts added here.
β
2. Click "Add Account"
Inside the Settings modal, navigate to the LinkedIn Accounts tab and click the + Add Account button. A new account setup form will appear.
β
β3. Fill in Your Account Details
Complete the three fields in the form:
Account Name β A friendly label so you can identify this account (e.g. "John β Agency Client" or "Outreach Seat #1")
Country β Select the country where this LinkedIn account is typically logged in from. Ornn uses this to assign a dedicated residential proxy in that same location, which keeps your account safe and avoids suspicious login flags from LinkedIn.
LinkedIn Profile URL β Paste the full URL of the LinkedIn profile linked to this account (e.g. linkedin.com/in/yourname)
πCountry matters. Always select the country you physically log in from, not where your target audience is. Mismatched proxy locations can trigger LinkedIn security checks.
β
4. Download the Ornn Chrome Extension
Ornn uses a Chrome extension to securely read your LinkedIn session cookies β no password required. This is the safest way to authenticate your account without exposing credentials.
Click Add to Chrome on the extension page, then confirm the installation. The extension icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar once installed.
πThe extension only reads LinkedIn cookies when you explicitly trigger a sync. It does not monitor your browser activity.
β
5. Sync Your LinkedIn Cookies
Make sure you are logged into LinkedIn in Chrome, then return to the Ornn account form and click Sync cookies from Chrome extension. The Ornn extension will automatically detect your active LinkedIn session and securely pass the session cookies to Ornn. You'll see a confirmation message once the sync is successful.
β οΈIf the sync fails, make sure you're logged in to LinkedIn in Chrome and that the Ornn extension is enabled. Try refreshing LinkedIn and syncing again.
β
6. Save the Account
Once all fields are filled and your cookies are synced, click Save Account. Ornn will validate your session and register the account in your workspace.
β
β
πYou're all set!
Your LinkedIn account has been successfully added. Your profile picture will be automatically scraped when your first campaign starts running β no action needed on your part.
